Hi people,
I have large library of movies containing movies composed of 2 or more parts.
The video length is displayed correctly and it does play the first part but it stops as soon as It tries to play the second part.
The resolution/extension of the files are the same.
The problem happens with different movies/extensions and not with a specific movie.
Using a software to join the parts is not a solution (large library).
Example of files name´s format:
Constantine - pt1.mp4
Constantine - pt2.mp4
Constantine - pt3.mp4
Godfather - part1.mkv
Godfather - part2.mkv
Godfather - part3.mkv

My setup:
Server version: 1.14.1.5488
Client:
Iphone 7 version: 5.9.1
Ipad 6 version: 5.9.1
This is a problem with my client? Is it a bug? Need I make a especific configuration at client/server?
Regards
In the article you referenced on naming stacked or multi-part movies, the first note may reveal your issue:
Notes :
* Not all Plex Apps support playback of stacked media
I’m guessing this would refer to Plex clients as well.
You may be able to run a script that will parse your folders and join them.

The process to join files is different for each type of file and very slow, so this is not an option because my library is very large.
This Reddit thread https://www.reddit.com/r/PleX/comments/36czpn/comment/crcwr7x?st=JQ8HM40I&sh=ae4c2848
mentioned the users have successfully tested multipart playback using Plex Home Theatre app and win8 app but not web browser or Android app.
Looks like there’s already another Plex thread with this issue using iOS and the poster gives a more detailed error and seems to indicate that it hasn’t been fixed or supported.
iOS multi-part media file playback problems
True but the script will compensate for this.

and very slow
Can’t help there.
