Does not resume when you start to play via the main title/show screen. If you start an episode and stop it. Go back out to the main title/show screen. Then try to play, it will start from the beginning of that last episode and will not give you an option to resume where you left off playing the last episode. The only option for resume is to go to the episode itself.

This is a known limitation. Resume only works when you play 1 item. Does not work in any other case.
Well, then I kindly ask that they add this “feature”. 
I currently switched to Nvidia Shields on my Samsung TVs and thats when I noticed the same behavior. The reason I noticed this weird behavior was that I used to run Plex directly from the “Smart TV” and there it works as expected.
When hitting play on a show or a season it probably just traverse through the episodes until it finds one that is either not played at all or unfinished and gives the user the proper choice.
Please provide the same feature on this high-end (otherwise nearly perfect) client.
