[Bug] Plex iOS app crashes unexpectedly / loses Chromecast connection

When using Plex iOS app (iOS 14.4.2) with Chromecast, playback stops abruptly and loses connection to Chromecast. TV returns to default Chromecast screensaver and the app has to be manually reconnected to Chromecast in order to resume playback. This happens right after connecting or reconnecting to Chromecast, or right after rewinding. I have the latest version of Google Home installed on iOS.

Issue started right after upgrading to current iOS version and current Plex version.
