Bug: Plexamp for Mac hides but doesn't disable titlebar

So in the Plexamp client for Mac the titlebar is hidden, but the Close and Minimize buttons can still be clicked. This can cause issues since the application doesn’t quit when its main window is closed:

You could work around this by either:

  • Allowing a new main window to be created (Cmd-N)
  • Quitting Plexamp when the window is closed
  • Disabling the titlebar completely

Here’s it happening in action: https://imgur.com/a/BJtGkjg

Thanks for creating a great client for Plex!

What version of Plexamp do you have installed and on what version of macOS?
I’m running Plexamp 3.1.1 on macOS 10.15.6 and can not reproduce this – and believe me… I tried hard  … when getting to the left, at some point Plex will consider this a click on the “recent plays” header and open that view.

I forgot to mention that I’m running the macOS 11/10.16 beta, so perhaps that’s why!

huh yeah, sounds like a macOS beta thing, i can’t reproduce on Catalina  likely Big Sur + Electron oddity.

Confirmed this is an issue with Electron + Big Sur: Frameless Window On MACOS11 (BigSur) closed by hidden titlebar. · Issue #24792 · electron/electron · GitHub
