Bug: Plexamp + Plex app on Android

Server Version#: 1.32.7.7621
Player Version#:Plexamp 4.8.4; Plex 10.2.0.4488 (83522c5)

Yesterday Plexamp started crashing when I tried to listed to a new album. There were 80 songs but one song didn’t have a track number. 79 of 80 songs had a track number. The one song without the track number showed up on the Plexweb as “0” despite having no number. The track name was “17. ArtistName - TrackName.mp3”

When I tried to play the album from both Plexamp and Plex, the Android apps crash. When I reopen the app it crashes again.

When I fixed the track numbering using Plexweb, both Plexamp and Plex no longer crash.

Change the song and remove the track number and Plexamp and Plex will crash when trying to play the album.

I can’t reproduce a crash on Plexamp on desktop, iOS, or Android, and I don’t see any crashes reported via your username.

Apologies for the delay and sorry you can’t reproduce. This only happened on the Android versions of Plexamp and Plex. I didn’t have a problem with the desktop Plexamp application.

I was unable to collect and submit a log because once the crashes started happening, I couldn’t open the Android app (Mobile phone) to allow collection of logs. I also tried on my Android tablet with the same version installed and it also crashed upon opening.

I had to remove the app, fix the numbering in the web portal, reinstall the app and then the app on the mobile started worked again.

I never removed the app from the Android tablet. Once I did the changes to the song number in the webportal, the app on the tablet functioned properly.

Hmm, I just tried on Android again and still couldn’t reproduce. Perhaps it’s been fixed in the meantime.
