Bug Report - New Plex UI App

I’m encountering the following issues on multiple devices Fire TV Stick 4k and 4k Max.

  • It’s slow to load the user selection screen (home users). I have a few users with pin codes, and it takes a second or two to register that I clicked a number. It takes a few milliseconds to scroll between numbers.
  • It is also slow to scroll between selections or navigate between libraries. Sometimes the white box that highlights the active selection isn’t showing and I’m unable to tell what’s currently selected.
  • It’s also annoying have to scroll down content on the home screen, and then have to scroll all the way up to move to the library view. (used to just have to scroll to the left to get to that selection on the old version).
  • Auto-Play the next episode or show doesn’t work half the time. I usually have to go to the episode selection and choose the next episode. This takes more time because I’m unable to find the active selection on the box so it usually goes to something else.
  • There’s no skip or rewind button or play or pause buttons on the player screen.
  • There’s a delay in every action, scrolls, pausing or playing. Content takes long to load, everything takes long to load.

While some would say that this could be an issue with the server itself, I know it’s not the server because I never encountered these issues with the old UI.

Please fix these issues.

the plex playlist will not work either it will play one movie and then stops It seems like this happens on every major update and then it takes 6 months to fix

Yep, I’ve read people having issues with that as well. I don’t personally use playlists, but I’m sure I’m in the minority…

I really hope it doesn’t take so long…but will have look into alternative if it does! It’s becoming pretty unusable at this point..

But I guess in their eyes, Lifetime pass holders are lost money so that’s probably not their concern…

That really has nothing to do with this. All Plex users with FireOS devices, Lifetime Pass or no, use the same app, so all those users will be impacted by the bugs in the app. Slow responsiveness and trouble navigating content will be a problem for users on recurring subscription Plex Pass, Remote Watch Pass, or even users with no paid plan who only use the FAST content.
