I used to be able to record only part of a show as a workaround to not having the provision to make a manual recording. This was done in the past to record only the weather in the middle of an hour news program and was done by putting negative minutes (-28) in the Minutes Before Start (Live TV/Guide/Show Advanced). This has worked perfectly for years.
Now, to record only the fireworks in the US tonight (and not almost 2 hours of hip hop), I tried to put -90 in all the front end clients. None permitted this. Please return this to original functionality or give us a Manual operation.
