BUG: Your deeply stupid "Week in review" auto-signed me up for ALL emails, NONE of which I want

I don’t want my usage reported to “friends.” (Which I never signed up for, by the way: you just auto-converted everybody I ever shared libraries with to my “friend.”) I don’t want to see “friends’” usage. And yet, here I am, getting a “Week in review” email because one of those people finally ■■■■■■ up and presumably accidentally accepted your poorly designed opt-out bullshit to broadcast their viewing habits. [Edit: Yup. She did not intend to sign up for this—and she is EXTREMELY tech-savvy. Like, as in, she works in the field.]

When I followed the link to unsubscribe from THIS email I never subscribed to, I found (as others have reported) that not only was I subscribed to THIS email, but EVERY OTHER EMAIL, including all the ones I’d PREVIOUSLY unsubscribed from/opted out of/never opted in to.

The fact that this is STILL HAPPENING is embarrassing for you and infuriating for us. Not to mention potentially illegal spam in many jurisdictions.

Stop ruining this company for the sake of laving VC shoe soles.

Came here to say the same. Incredibly moronic move to send this out, let alone forcefully subscribe me to all the marketing crap - a VERY clear violation of GDPR.

I’ve had enough. I’ve reported Plex for a blatent GDPR violation. Its just constant piss take after piss take these days. Oh and I’ve submitted them to multiple spam lists and let sparkpost/messagebird know their client is spamming and violating GDPR. You’ve had enough warnings, and made far too many mistakes to excuse this crap anymore.
