I would like to see the addition of built-in network share support in Plex Media Server.
OS X is pretty horrible at keeping network shares mounted, and when they get ejected for whatever reason, Plex stops working. There are workarounds that have a varying degree of success to keep shares mounted in OS X, but having built-in support in PMS would bypass these issues altogether.
One would be able to add i.e. smb://10.0.1.4/movies as a destination in Plex Media Server as well as the login credentials, and PMS would handle the connection. No more inaccessible media because of OS X’s networking issues.
