Bye Bye Plex ^^

Just a quick note to say goodbye. After using it for over 15 years, Plex has turned into a complete mess—from the interface to the pricing. You’ve all lost your minds over at Plex! In less than two hours, I’ve got Jellyfin set up with Sonarr, Radarr, Tracearr, Seerr, and so on. I have absolutely no regrets—goodbye, Plex! By the way, please go ahead and delete my forum account. Thanks.

Why do people feel the need to announce their departure?

Also: Too lazy to delete your own account?

Show where I can delete my account, I WILL DO IT IMMEDIATELY.

and by the way if I feel obliged to say it it is to express my disappointment in verse Plex, you my friend I don’t care what you think..

Well, I don’t see any reason to help someone who doesn’t care what I think. :stuck_out_tongue:

Bye, Felicia.

I like it! So why does it bother you? I have a lifetime pkg. But I am always interested in hearing from free users saying goodbye! I announced on here a while ago that I will no longer use my system for beta testing. Because I dont agree with the draconian methods of changing our Home screen without Life users’ input FIRST!

No need to help me, I found it. Good luck!

Nobody promotes, raises, retains, hires, or interviews for competence.

Engineering is a field of nepo babies, like the rest of the world.

Complaining here just to complain & leave is just useless, wastes time, and childish.

If someone has a complaint, offer a reasonable suggestion to make it better. Otherwise, just go.

Spoken just like someone who has no clue about software programming.

Neither do you or plex which is why it’s obvious they are using the free version of codex at this point.

Your incorrect assumptions about my (and Plex staff) knowledge is cute.

Well years of not making of app that works properly says different about them and the glazers defending them lol

Lack of CUE sheet support that was requested over a decade ago is completely unacceptable in 2026. Instead of implementing requested features Plex team was busy integrating C-grade streaming services into the app, so we have access to a million of Direct-2-Dumpster movies. Gee, thanks.

If it wasn’t for remote streaming, I would ditch Plex in a heart beat.

I loved Plex… up until the very moment I bought Plex Pass… ALL 10 of my servers can no longer be accessed by anyone anywhere… THIS SUCKS>>> PLEX — GOODBYE!!!

I dunno man, seems like a whole lot of users enjoying Plex and it’s working just fine for them.

issues I have are functions & options. Otherwise works a treat.

Worst part of Plex is the apps to be honest. Pumped full of Plex’s attempt to become a streaming platform, and the original use (streaming your own content) has become an afterthought. Apps are so buggy, constantly have to reconnect to Plex after waking the TV from sleep for a while and/or retry connection to my servers (it says one local and one remote are indirect). Users don’t really know to do this so they are just watching at 2mbps and putting strain on the server for no reason.

And YET here you are! And complaining is a waste of time because Plex does not CARE! Get it! They can’t even develop a Windows 11 app that WORKS! But they love breaking working Plex apps on Android to push their new agenda of Rental movies and ad space $$$$

You could think of the OP’s comments as an “exit interview”. Many companies appreciate feedback. It helps them identify issues that could be a problem for them, or improve communication, or tighten their marketing efforts. Such info can be useful even if the company isn’t interested in making any changes to address the complaint.
