Like many others I have a pretty vast library of video files, and I was wondering whether it would be possible to create a feature that is old-fashioned cable like; in other words suppose you have 1k movies locally - the idea is to auto-create channels using local media files and create a dynamic channel guide.
Think of a UI similar to cable with a previous and next channel configuration, using local files you can index and catalog films by genre, assigning a channel container that you can swipe through or jump through; just like ordinary cable.
This idea came to me as I’m scrolling down my library thinking what to watch, made me wish there was a way to browse like old fashioned tv to find or cross an oldie;
Not sure if there’s a plugin for this, or whether it is a feature or not or in the making but just thought it would be a nice feat.
