I just fired up Caldera on two Android/Google TV’s (a Shield TV Pro & Bravia 7 Google TV), both sitting next to each other in the same room for testing purposes. I got “muiltiroom” to play on both via Plexamp which was awesome… but:
A: They played the music slightly out of sync until I selected “exclusive audio (low latenecy)” on the Bravia 7 Google TV instance of Caldera. When enabled, the audio on both played PERFECTLY in sync
B: This got me curious about turning on the “exclusive audio” feature on the Shield TV Pro, however I noticed that on the Shield TV Pro, every time I selected “exclusive audio (low latenecy)” the Caldera app crashed. Is there something weird about using the “low latency” feature on the Shield TV Pro?
C: When playing as a muiltiroom node, the Shield TV Pro didn’t display any album artwork but it did display the visualizer. The Bravia 7 displayed everything including the album art as configured. Is this by design?
These aren’t complaints, just curiosities. I am loving the new app! Wondering if anybody else has seen similar behaviour while trying it out? I am blow away with how great Caldera is on Android TV, @elan deserves huge kudos from the community AND huge kudos from whoever is still running the ship at Plex HQ.
