First and foremost: Caldera is incredible. I’m loving it! I have a few feature requests that I think would be nice to have! For context: I’m using this primarily on an Android TV box.
- Seek within track would be nice, I don’t need it frequently, but it’d be nice to jump ahead/back 10s or 30s (sometimes that visualization was just too cool!)
- Lyrics would be a very welcome option as well. Symfonium has this (even with realtime highlighting), but it’s got a clunky interface and no visualizer.
- When I connected my plex server, it didn’t ask me which account I’d like to use - it defaulted to my admin account. This is OK in my particular use case but might not be optimal for all (I normally use a guest account).
- Being able to see a list of visualizer presets and enable/disable them would also be nice! EDIT: I see where this is now - I had expected (wrongly) to find it in Settings. This exists!
- Some tooltips or descriptions of options would be helpful - for example it’s not clear what “visualizer OSD” does until you actually enable it and then scroll back over to Now Playing (since getting to settings requires exiting that screen and leaves up the search screen instead)
- I have a few android tv boxes around the house - a “save settings” and “restore settings” option where I could save to a shared drive like my NAS would be really nice - it’s a feature offered by apps like TiviMate that I use a lot! It probably just spits out a JSON file or something like that.
I’ll be keeping up with this for sure. Loving this player, especially because I couldn’t listen to music with Plex on my Android TV as it’d idle out and just shut off / stop!
