If you have an advanced router, you should be able to configure it to block certain internal IP’s from accessing the internet. That might solve your concerns.
To protect my IOT’s I use a NAT solution.
Yep I simply said (if I read what you’re saying correctly) that I’m not going to spend the time working on an Android TV that I have on a Windows PC. (Where I’ve made changes to prevent surveillance and “phoning home”.)

I don’t currently have a solution but I have tested and eliminated a number of approaches.
I’ll get back to troubleshooting this later.
