This may be a dumb question, and I hope that it is not in the wrong place on the forum, but is it possible to store my PC games to my Plex media server? If I can, do I use the same type of naming/folder/file arrangement as all other media? I don’t need, not would I use the server and the GPU as a rendering device for remote game play, but could this work? I mostly just want to have a place to store my games and access them from my laptop when away from home, or when on my PC in my office. If Plex can’t do this, are there dockers, or some other means to create a file share for PC games? Lastly, is is possible to store my Xbox One and PS4 games on the server and just play them from my consoles?
Thank you for taking them time to answer my questions and for your advice.

My ‘Gaming Rig’ is also my Plex Server.
I can Game while the server works - due in no small part to my vigorous method of ONLY adding media that will Direct Play.
I recently ‘Re-Tooled’ the entire Remote Plexiverse when I wanted to start adding HEVC encodes - and the remote equipment wouldn’t Direct Play it. Got all that solved and all is well.
This does entail a LOT of encoding, fiddling with and tweeking. Not everybody is going to do that and if you game when the transcoder kicks in - you’re gonna die.
Plex can’t index your games.
The machine can do both - with caveats.
Storing items on a server’s drive does not effect operation of Plex at all as long as Plex does not see the files it does not use and as long as the server’s cpu is not used for any functionality of extraneous applications.
In general servers should only serve but they can serve more than just video files so storing other file on your server should be just fine.
BTW: Real time access like dynamically reading/writing files during game play might over tax the server’s processing power.
I think my planned build will work without taxing anything too much…I hope. I purchased a server/workstation board, GIGABYTE W480 Vision W, i7-10700, dual m.2 PCIe drives, and a GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2070. I know there are some things I have to watch out for, like hardware transcoding when GPU is used. I wanted to over build so I would be a bit more future proof. I know, I know, there is no such thing as future proof when it comes to computers. BTW, thanks for the info. I don’t know what I would do without the advice and guidance from everyone on the Plex forums.
