After working properly for a long period of time when I played media from my server it would cause the server to disconnect from the network. After removing and reinstalling the network adapter and VPN with no success in fixing the problem I finally decided to remove Plex sever and reinstall it.
I did not change any of the default settings. Secure connections remains set to “Preferred”. I now however get the message:
Unable to connect to “My Server Name” securely
Its “Secure connections” setting may be set to disabled, or you may need to adjust some settings on your network.
I never had this issue before. Plex now works properly if I agree to allow insecure connections.
I have no idea if there is any risk in this but common sense tells me that I should have a secure connection.
Any thoughts on how I can get back to the secure connection I had before? Thanks for any assistance.
