How do you change users on the new PS4 plex update? Worked fine before the update. It auto logs in as one of my users, not even the master account. Amazingly terrible.
The username should be shown at the top right. Select on that and you will get the option to switch users.
Agreed it’s up there but my options are logout or cancel. And when I linked it why would it not default to the master account? Any help appreciated.
Looking at your account profile, you don’t have a Plex Pass. Switching users is only available if you are in a Plex Home. Are you part of someone else’s Plex Home? If not, then there are no other users to switch to.
That’s what I mean by ‘master account’. I have a lifetime and when I went to link the account it defaulted to my father in law who is a plex friend and plays from my server. Why would the tv link default to a secondary user and how can I change this. It’s driving me nuts. Thank you.
When linking a device, it will link to the account that is logged into Plex.tv at the time. If you were using Plex Web and had been logged in as your father when visiting the link page, then the link would have been associated with his account.
I don’t see a Plex Pass on your account. Are you visiting the forums using another account other than the one with the Plex Pass?
