Can video be played (redirected) in VLC?

I’m using Plex Media Player for Windows 10 and I was wondering if there is any way to open the file I want to play in VLC.
NOT asking about Web Interface but through the Plex Media Player app.

Basically I want to browse my media using Plex Meida Player, but the playback should happen in VLC.
When I click the play button VLC should open the file.
When I’m done using VLC and close it, I should be taken back to Plex Media Player.
I understand it’s kind of a weird request.

Any ideas are appreciated.

No, that’s not possible.

You can use VLC directly. Open VLC View, playlist, navigate to Local Network, Universal Plug and play, wait some time to right window to populate servers and one of them should be your Plex server (might take some time).
