Not the OP but I tried it on my iPad 9th generation MK2K3LL/A running 2025.16.0.(1068) and that clip does indeed crash the app while at the same time playing perfectly if I run it through Safari and app.plex.tv.
Ditto if I use an iPhone 14 MPWM3LL/A. Runs fine on Safari app.plex.tv but immediately crashes in the app also running 2025.16.0 (1068).
Yea. So far only found with HEVC. To be clear a lot of HEVC works.
I’m not 100%. It seems like it skews to 4k/HEVC with Nolan style video with aspect ratio changes, but that’s not a definitive claim. You probably recognize the prior clip… you’ll probably recognize this next one. Much simpler audio, basic ac3.
