I have a lot of trouble to access my media when i am not at home. A year ago, everything was working ok. Now, i do have access with plexamp to my music (works perfectly), but using the Plex app, i cannot acces my photo’s or video’s…
I also tried the newer Plex photos app, but that app is not usefull with my large photo database. I have 150.000 photos, and timeline does not work in the new app.
If i check on the plex media server, external access is available…
I paid for a lifetime pass a year ago, only to keep access from outside my network. Can somebody help me please to get things working again?
… as in your mobile apps cannot see those libraries at all?
… or do they see the libraries but fail to play those videos?
What information is showing in the “now playing” tile for that playback on the Plex server dashboard while attempting to stream from outside your home network? Specifically… is that stream listed as Remote or Indirect? An indirect connection might have sufficient bandwidth to accommodate music streams, but not for a video.
Yes, i can see my libraries. My issue is also with my photo’s. If i open the timeline, it just keeps loading. Very frustrating. If i open my VPN connection (or connect from home), everything loads just fine.
