Mon my server began acting up, not allowing me to access it thought plex.tv and and not connecting at all on the webapp.
So through various aspects of advice, I’ve deleted the Reg entry, the PMS local folder, uninstalled, reinstalled, deleted my account, created new accounts and nothing changes this situation.
I am out of ideas and patience and can’t find anyone who is willing to take time to help me fix. Is there anyone who can diagnose and hopefully get me back and going, I’ve literally decimated EVERYTHING in attempts to fix this and nothing is working.
Server Version#: Version 1.20.3.3437
Player Version#:
The screenshot shows that your server is not “claimed”. Doing so will associate it with your plex.tv account.
Only then you can expect remote access to work.
Make sure to disable any web browser add-ins while you are trying this. I recommend to use the “incognito” mode of Chrome or the “privacy” mode of Firefox.
Avoid using Edge.
I have the same exact issue with the unclaimed server and it can’t be claimed either. Restarted the server, signed out, signed back in, uninstalled and reinstalled server, even installed another OS (currently running Ubuntu). Didn’t have an server issue until the Oct 20th update, currently running the latest update Version 1.20.3.3483, Plex says an update is available but it’s the same version I’m running. Still searching for a fix.
Solved my unclaimed server problem sort of, plugged the laptop into the router and it now connects . It’s a little inconvenient and wasn’t an issue before the update on the 20th but here we are.
Hey all so great news, I was finally able to reclaim my server. The only thing that worked was this program I dl from github months ago
Edit: Cant find the program, but basically its a VPN bypass,
I oriignally dl it to help me bypass my VPN restrictions of remote access for my server, but I haven’t used it in months,
However what it allowed me to do was bypass the loop and finally claim my server again. I still followed all the steps as far as deleting my registry entries. Uninstalled the server as well.
Reinstalled and started the bypass app. It worked immediately.
Not sure of the specs and what makes it do what it does, perhaps someone else on this forum can explain exactly why it works the way it works,
BUT IT WORKS!!!
Super happy too cause Plex is such an intricate part of my home entertainment set up. Thought I was going to have to nuke everything and start from scratch with something else.
