Can't add users to Plex Home

I can’t seem to add users to my Plex Home. I had a server running for the past year under my old Plex account. It had like 6 users in my Plex Home. I decided to reclaim the server with my new Plex account and delete my old account.

Well now i’m trying to re add those users but it never succeeds. If i use the web app to add a user I can get all the way to the “Confirm” screen and then I click confirm add user and nothing happens. No email ever sends.,

I decided to try it thru Plex Media Player in windows and when I try to Confirm, it says “User must be an admin”

I also don’t get the option to Add Managed Users in the webplayer. I’m assuming I need to leave the old Plex Home on my new account. But i’m not sure I see that option anywhere.

I DO have plex pass also.

Any ideas?

You’re already part of a home for that previous user. You need to leave that home first before you can create a new one.

That option was missing. But I did a work around. I had to invite my new Plex account to a different Home share, and accept it, then leave it. Then I was finally removed from the Home. I wasted $5 on Plex Pass for a dummy account, but oh well lol.

It seems something went wonky when I deleted the original admin of the Home share, plex account. From what i read, that should have destroyed the Home, but it didnt.

Either way, problem solved.
