Sorry I have no access to a Mac and no experience whatsoever with the platform.
I only know that claiming a Mac server is different: New Server Claiming Requirement for MacOS
Thanks for that link. It led to a different error, unfortunately. The web app came up with a ‘Initializing media server’ message and spinning indicator. After several minutes, it failed with ‘Something went wrong. Make sure the server is available and try again.’ Are there steps to deal with that error?
Looking at your account the server looks to be already claimed and seen an hour ago. Probably need to see the server logs to find out why it is not loading up.
That’d be great. Can I upload them to you in a DM? I’ll try that.
Not sure if this is related: uPNP is enabled in my router, but port 32400 wasn’t accessible externally. I manually added that port forwarding rule and 32400 did become visible, but it didn’t solve the local server access problem. I disabled the rule for now - let me know if I should add it back.
Also can you try updating to 1.30.1.6497 There was a fix for
(macOS) Some endpoints could return errors on macOS versions older than 10.15 (#13946)
you can just download it from our site, quit the server running, and manually update by replacing Plex Media Server.app in the applications folder and just starting it back up
Neither of those links works - same result for both. I’ve tried each several times, including logout/in. Thanks for the updated server link, I’ll try that right now.
The latest server works! Server settings are visible in both the local session and Plex hosted web app. I have access to server and library configuration, etc.
