Can't direct play 4K HEVC in TV mode on Plex Media Player

When I try to direct play a 4k hevc video using PMP in TV mode it ALWAYS transcodes no matter what I try to do. If I switch over to the webui side it behaves as it should and goes ahead and streams the video and audio directly with no problem. I cannot figure out why this is. It must be an issue with the software itself. Any help?
