Can't edit collections (e.g. add a poster)

Server Version#: 1.16.3.1402
Running via docker on ubuntu 18.04.2

When I try to edit a collection (e.g. to add a poster to it), the box pops up, but the spinning icon in the middle just spins and it never shows anything. I can edit individual movies with no issues and I know I was able to edit collections as of about a week or two ago.

I’ve tried:

  • Optimizing the database
  • Restarting the container
  • Multiple different browsers (Firefox, Chrome)

I’ve looked in the Plex Media Server.log file. The only ERROR or WARNING level item is:

Jul 18, 2019 09:34:34.781 [0x7f8b8a7fc700] ERROR - QueryParser: Invalid field ‘libraryHubsOnly’ found, ignoring.

And the only other line which seems possibly applicable is:

Jul 18, 2019 09:28:31.468 [0x7f8bce7fc700] INFO - SQLITE3:(nil), 17, statement aborts at 57: [select * from metadata_items limit 1] database schema has changed

Any ideas or other things I should try?

Thanks for the report, seeing the same thing on my end.

This appears to be a bug in the latest version of the web client at app.plex.tv/desktop. It seems to still work from the web client bundled with the server via http://127.0.0.1:32400/web.

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks, I can confirm that it works fine when accessing via http://<local IP>:32400/web.
