Cant get Plex to use AMD Radeon Pro WX2100

I recently bought an WX2100 to use for plex transcoding with XCP-NG but for some reason Plex does not use the WX2100 for HW transcoding… The GPU is passedthrough and the lspci -v command gives back the GPU and also lists the kernel driver in use: amdgpu

Am I missing something for Plex to actually use the GPU? (I know AMD is unofficially supported) but I have seen more people using AMD GPU’s.

I am trying to accomplish this on an Ubuntu 21.10 machine.

vainfo must show the software to be in place.

  1. libva drivers must be present
  2. vainfo must show ‘connectivity’
