Hi, I recently added a GPU to my Plex server. But I cannot force the transcoder to use the GPU instead of the CPU, or at least there is no indication. I know that there should be a (hw) behind transcode. Is there a way to check if Plex picked up the GPU?
Proxmox Host Ubuntu 22.04 container with full access to the GTX 1080.

nvidia-smi does work in the container and also shows the process, but the Wattage stays at 8-9 W. Which is idle. Does someone have more experience, maybe with this?

Need the Server’s DEBUG log files which capture the start of the failed transcode.
Screen captures don’t tell us what we need to know.
Proxmox is tricky to configure. you have to follow their documented procedures
(their forum) for GPU passthrough to a VM or container.
I tried it here on an i3-7300 CPU and had a great deal of customizing required to pass the GPU through. (blacklisting a whole bunch of drivers)
I downloaded the logs so which of the logs is needed?
I got this in the Console when filtered for error and warning. This comes when I start a movie.

Hi so i reinstalled the server with a diffrent type of bios(SeaBIOS in Proxmox) and also diffrent maschine (i440fx instead of q35). I followed the guide of “craft computing”.
