Can't get terminal to connect

This is what I see..I'm not running Lion Server.

PlexGDM : looking up Plex Media Server

DNSServer : Failed to create socket on UDP port 53: [Errno 13] Permission denied
PlexConnect : DNSServer not alive. Shutting down.
 
Also seeing the following:

I've got the same issue.

apparently it has something to do with another webserver already running on your system...

although I don't think I have one running :(

Maybe I'm thinking too easy, but it appears that PlexGDM can not discover your PMS, are you sure it's currently up and running? 

Also make sure that "Enable GDM" is checked in Media Manager -> Settings -> Network Discovery.

I've adjusted my PMS settings and double checked the DNS setup, but I still get this:

Failed to create socket on UDP port 53: [Errno 48] Address already in use
 
What is already in use and how do I disable it?

You are already running a DNS server, you cannot run 2.

You say you are not running Lion server, what are you running?

Im just running OSX mountain lion, latest build.

What is:

  1. in your settings.py file
  2. the IP of your PMS
  3. the IP of your DNS server
  4. the IP of the device you are running PlexConnect on?

I'm having the same issue running OSX Mavericks (10.9)

IP of PMS: 10.0.1.4

IP of DNS: 10.0.1.1

IP on device: 10.0.1.12

I cant post all the text from my settings.py file, it complains about over use of emojis... What do you need to see?

Can I run Plex Connect on another Mac? (I'm thinking of my MacBook Pro which I shut of all the time. Does it have to run all the time?)
 
 
EDIT! Solved.. I'm tired, tried starting Netflix..... I'll go jump of a bridge now! :S
