Can't install Plex Media Server 2018

Hello,
I’m trying to install Plex Media Server to my Windows 7 desktop pc. When i run the .exe i get a message saying

“Set up failed. One or more issues caused the setup to fail. Please fix the issues then retry setup.”

Is there something i should be doing on my computer to make it work? I’m not sure how to proceed.

Here is the log file (i followed the link on the message):

I’ve done some more researching. It seems that it’s to do with Server Pack 1, which we had installed previously. I’ve found an old thread that recommended downloading

windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe

so i’m doing that now and i’ll see whether it works.

Well that worked, but now
“Your server is signed in to Plex, but is not reachable from outside your network.”
Which i assume is a hugely complicated router issue. So i think i’m giving up now!
