Can't link Xbox One [ooops, that didn't work. Press "refresh code" to try again]

For some reason, my Xbox One decided I need to link to the server again (I haven’t used plex on it for a while).

So I signed in on plex.tv/link and entered the code, but every time it says on the xbox one: [ooops, that didn’t work. Press “refresh code” to try again] even though in the browser, the message is: “Account Linked, Your account has been successfully linked, please revisit your app to continue.”

Any ideas?

Note: I have tried removing and reinstalling the Xbox One app. No joy.

I’m having the same issue. I’ve tried restarting the Xbox, restarting the PC running the Plex server, tried entering the pin from every browser on multiple devices, tried logging into Plex with username/Google/Facebook… get the Ooops error every time.

I don’t think it’s related to the server on the PC at all - this bit purely links to the account I think.
I noticed that it DOES add the Xbox to the list of devices on the account, so I think it’s the Plex Xbox One app that is broken - for some reason it’s just not continuing after the successful pairing. Note: I tried deleting the Xbox One from the device list again in the account, but the error repeated on the next attempt. Fingers crossed this is a known bug and someone from Plex can just say “hang tight - we are on the case”.

This has just afflicted me also. Regardless of how many times I correctly enter the LINK code, it throws the same error.

This entire branch (since the October rollout) has been one disaster after the next. Fire somebody, hit the reset switch on the project, rollback to the previous major release version, and start over.

Hmm… although the link process didn’t work I was still able to login (by fat-fingering around the screen shot above). The Plex app for XBone made me enter my 4-digit passcode to login.

In the interim I discovered I was on some sort of orphaned branch of the PMS (1.9.7.4463 I believe) and forced an update to 1.11.0.4633. I was not in the mood for properly troubleshooting this and did most of these operations simultaneously … so I am not sure what worked.

Got this same issue as well. A hard reset of the Xbox fixed the issue.

Plex for the Xbox is a complete unmitigated disaster right now.

Mine worked this evening. Not sure what if anything changed.

I still have this problem?!?!?!?
