I have been using Plex for years and love it. However, recently I added a couple of Home User accounts for my sons which is great as they can now watch their own content without screwing up my “Continue Watching” etc.
But I find now that when I’m casting to our ChromeCast from my iPhone the casting stops when I open the app during playback.
This only seems to happen if the app has been in the background for a while and possibly loses connection. When the app opens, it asks for who is watching. As soon as I select my account the casting to the TV stops.
Prior to setting up the Home Users the app would load, after a second or two it would sync itself back up with the ChromeCast and everything was fine. Every now and again I’d have to reconnect the app to the ChromeCast but once I did, it knew exactly where I was at with the show and show it on the screen.
Is there a way to prevent the app from disconnecting from the ChromeCast when the app loads with Home Users?
