Yep, i’m getting the same error
Same problem here trying to access ftp, any other places to get the script?
Seems like this is using Sickbeards MP4 Automator now.
I’m using sickbeards mp4 script, if I run manual.py after doing adjustments to autoprocess.ini (below)
I have file with AC-3 audio, I assume this script would create a seperate aac audio that will play nice with plex BUT nothing happens, it runs, adds id tag and moov correctly but doesnt add aac?
[MP4]

ffprobe = ffprobe.exe

output_format = mp4

ios-first-track-only = False

ios-move-last = False

audio-codec = ac3
ignore-trudhd = true
Did you try looking in the plex app under audio? I have ac3 as an option in my audio selection setting.
I got it working with
manual.py -i d:\docs -a -cmp4
So the link for the script no longer works, have you uploaded it anywhere else by chance? I have a lot of AVI’s I want to convert
Does anyone else sill have a copy of the script still in zip form? If so I can upload and share it.
Why don’t you just use sickbeard mp4 converter.
Great Post but all the links are dead or Private
I noticed the same thing. I would suggest using Sickbeard MP4 converter. It’s been working pretty well for me and I believe that’s what is used by most members now.
Hello all, Im a newbie on here. In my Library are movies, music and photos.
I only want Plex to scan and add my movies, so have 2 questions: 1. How/where do I make adjustments so that my music and photos do not get added to Plex? and 2. If I delete the photos and music currently shown in my Plex library, will it also delete them from my laptop library - I dont want this to happen.
Thanks
JJ
You need to separate the movie files on your laptop.
Put all your Movies in a subfolder called Movies or similar.
Point Plex to that folder and it will never know anything about your music and photos.
Thank you but I do have a stand alone folder with movies only in it. Yet somehow Plex is picking up my photos and music. I suspect its somewhere in my settings I need to make a change but dont know where/how.
thanks
Presumable you have something like this right?
-Parent Folder
— Movies
— Music
— Photos
— TV Shows
Did you point your Plex movie library to the [Parent Folder] or the actual Movies folder? Also you can have a library scan multiple folders so make sure you didn’t accidentally add both your parent and your movie folder.
Cayar’s last post is now 18 months ago. FTP server for scripts is dead…
Anybody have an archive they can share?
In particular, I need, I believe, “manual.py”, the script that uses ffmpeg to autoconvert and move files for a) direct play and b) audio normalization, dynamic range reduction, “dynaudnorm” etc.
EDIT: Sickbeard mp4 automator seem to be the(?) way. The package even includes a ‘manual.py’, but i don’t know if that was cayar’s script. Regardless, here’s a link to a settings file that does audio normalization aka dynamic range reduction or whatever it’s supposed to be called.

this is an old post but im wondering if it’s still needed to convert files to mp4 now before adding them ?
There’s not any particular reason to convert files to MP4 in most cases.
