CEC and TV Menus

I'm just getting set up with RasPlex. CEC worked great right out the box. I've got my Harmony remote doing nearly everything easily enough.

The only problems are getting the "info" button to work and finding a "back" button for the menus.

When I press "info" on my remote, it brings up the TV's "info" menu (Samsung), rather than sending the command through to Plex. Is this something I can address with the XML file? Is it just a limit of CEC?

Yes, you need to create a keymaps.xml file and pop it in the /storage/userdata/keymaps folder.

Search the Internet for keymaps XBMC or Kodi. Plenty of stuff out there.

As the Harmony remotes seem to be becoming popular I'm just about to buy one so we can 'bake in' support for controlling CEC and RemotePi board. Watch this space.

ok, thanks. I know from using XBMC on a nettop years ago that monkeying with the keymaps file can be hit or miss sometimes, so I just wanted to be sure that doing so in this case could lead to a good outcome. Looking forward to Harmony support baked in!

Forgot to mention I started a topic some time ago https://forums.plex.tv/topic/150209-cec-remote-buttons-how-do-i-find-out-which-button-has-been-pressed/?hl=cec has some useful info in it to achieve what you require.
