Hello,
My mom cannot play certain files, after having her try while I had console going I am not seeing much, after much trial and error I can tell it seems to be around EAC3 files.
If the movie is a EAC3 file, she can’t play it, I can, if its a DTS file she can. I have had this happen before, normally I just go into the app folder and plex and then delete the codec folder (stop plex first). Once I have deleted the codec folder I would restart plex, and they would redownload and it would be fixed until next time.
However, this time it’s not working, and I’m not seeing the error in the logs that would usually tell me its a codec issue.
Would someone mind looking at the logs and seeing if I am missing something that might help us figure out what is going on here?
Thanks!!

Just to add to this, on my phone on wifi, I can play whatever, but when I get off wifi, I experience the same issues she does. So it does seem to be tied into remote play somehow.
Thanks
Looking at your logs, I see where there is no HW transcoding .
Is this expected?
If it’s needed, sure… But mostly it direct plays.
Are you saying, it’s not working at all? Or you just were not seeing it in this instance?
I just played a show on my phone and changed the quality down to make it transcode.
And it is showing hardware.
Well, I ended up deleting the database and rebuilding it…It had fixed it.
I am just under a month in on the new database, and it is doing this again. I do not understand this at all…
Make certain DEBUG logging is enabled. (Restart if needed)
Recreate the failure.
Now download the server logs (Settings - server - Troubleshooting - Download Logs )
Attach that ZIP file here.
We’ll look at what’s failing
I just had her play several different things…she had two not work. One tv show, and one movie.
Thank you!

Sorry for the delay (busy day)
The playback was terminated because the player disconnected (terminated playback) – “Reset by peer”

Was this intentional or this the result of the failure ?
She tried several different files, several worked and she cancelled those playbacks.
Two of them they basically spun, and then said something like error could not play.
Would what you were seeing here be that situation?
We are wondering if it is the player (it’s a firestick) but she tried 2 of them with same error, so we were leaning towards that not being the issue.
We ordered a Roku just to check and see.

I will go through them again in more detail.
I didn’t know you had a series in there. I was expecting to see the first failure
