Certain video files choppy and unplayable on latest android TV beta

Some videos have very choppy playback and are unplayable for me on the 7.24.0.13291 beta. Device is 2019 Nvidia Shield (tube version). One example is Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds blu-ray ripped remuxed to MKV format. I thought maybe VC1 was the issue, but other VC1 videos seem fine. I have confirmed direct play, and it is certainly not a network problem (4K videos play back smoothly). Any ideas? Logs attached.

Would you be able to share a sample of the video with me (or the file if its not too big), sadly the logs don’t highlight any information on why it is stuttering.

Of course when I created a 100 mb sample of the video, it played back smoothly. I will have to think of something else.
