Change color of selection quad on Android TV

I love bright posters and a lot of posters from thePosterDB have white borders. A white selection triangle is counter-productive for me. Can we pretty please have an option to change the color of the selection triangle? I would make mine bright red to also have a contrast there. Here is an example of posters that cannot be used at the moment:

Have you already checked out the app settings, e.g. Appearance > Application Theme?

Yes, they do not change the color of the selection rectangle.
