Channel Selection Issue

Where I am located, I have a channel 9 set (e.g. 9.1 9.2 9.3) and a channel 29 set. My issue is if I try to watch live TV or a DVR record a show on 29.1 it changes to channel 9.1, 29.1 is just not able to be viewed or recorded. I am wondering if my tuner card, which is a Hauppauge card has an issue with the speed in which the Plex software issues the commands to change the channel. I am wonder if Plex software may issue the channels like how a user pushes buttons on a remote, the 2 followed by the 9 and maybe, there is too great of a delay between those commands, making my card think that I want to go to channel 2, then 9. If I try to go to channel 29.2 it seems to work as it should. Even the show info is incorrect, it shows the info for the show it is expecting to play/record, but software itself play/records the wrong channel. Trying to watch/record 29.1 is the only one that causes issues…anyone else experience something similar? Even the show info is incorrect, it shows the info for the show it is expecting to play/record, but software itself play/records the wrong channel.

I cannot imagine this being any local config issue, but is most likely a software issue.

Check the channelmapping in the dvr config, deactivate the 9.1 and make sure it is linked to the 1st entry to debug this. I had simlar issues in the beta (but we do not have the X.Y notation here in Germany) and it was an error in how they handled the strings and arrays in the mapping.

If it (the 29.1) works while the 9.1 has no EPG source mapped, than you can be sure that this is a mapping bug inside Plex for 99.9% and has nothing to do with the tuner or drivers they use.

I have the same problem with channel 17.1 tuning to 16.1. Odd thing is 16.1 doesn’t even show up as a valid channel in the tuner setup in Plex. Any ideas how to get 17.1 to tune correctly?
