Channels not working? (and UI question)

First of all, thanks to all involved for developing this!

 

I managed to get my movies and TV shows working great via PlexConnect once I found the "hit play and not select" tip to get video to work. I haven't been able to get any channels to work, though - I get an error to the effect of "trailers are not available".

 

Are channels supposed to work? I'm running the latest code from today, or at least I ran the clone operation today.

 

Oh, and also, the first landing screen when you launch Trailers is just four narrow boxes of text buttons at the top of the screen — is this the expected UI?

It sounds like you are running an older branch if you need to hit play, try downloading the zip referenced in the install guide.

Re channels: as per the FAQ they are not supported yet, some work and some do not.

Hm - odd — I had just done a git clone from the main repo — would that not get me the most recent code?

FWIW, just tried reinstalling from scratch from the zip and I still have to press play to get movies to start properly. Should I post some logs?

also: What aTV software are you running? From you first comment/UI question, it sounds like pre-5.2, is this correct?

That's right - I'm running 5.0.2 so that I can run the native plex client. I was actually planning to upgrade to 5.2 if I could get PlexConnect working reasonably well.

Where are the logs you need? System.log?

Well, 5.0.2 doesn't support the Navigation bar in the trailers app. I wonder, if it also behind on any other XML command used in the PrePlay Screen...
