Chapter View without having to start the movie

I run currently over the following issue.

I have a media library for instructional/explanational videos (some MP4 & some MKV from DVD’s).
The DVD’s are not in a Database to get the data from!

As it seems there is no way to see the chapters without starting the movie.

Therefore I have the following 2 feature request:

  1. Add the ability to show the Chapters of the Movie in the Movie Detail Page (controlable per Library or simply with a general on/off switch) with the ability to play only the specific chapter.

  2. Add the ability to have the chapter titles available in the search (Elastic Search???)

Think that could be interesting also for other users and will expand the functionality of Plex even further.

2021 clean-up:
just some housekeeping…
#1 is actually supported on some clients (e.g. Plex for iOS) – it’s not available on most others (e.g. Plex Web

#2 is a duplicate of an existing suggestion, therefore I’ve removed that in your OP to avoid distracting/dispersing of votes
