I have a season of the show, so they all have the same data.
The default spoken language might be english, but i want it to be japanese.
I want it to use my native danish subtitles.
Then the episode ends, and i have to enable all these settings again and again and again.
If i could tell Plex which settings i wanted as default, then the experience would be so much better.
A setting like this exist on a global level, but that could create conflicts with things like movies with dubs of many languages.
Also, i just dont know which to choose to get japanese in here, because it sure isnt called that.
What you are requesting should already be doable.
The screen that you are showing as you mentioned is a global setting so it is going to apply to everything.
What you want to do is go to the series level and edit the advanced settings to do this.
You can do that by hovering over the series poster in the library view and clicking the pencil icon in the bottom left corner (you can also go into the top-level of the series and click the pencil icon there, should be on the same line as the play button).
In the edit window that opens, click on “Advanced” at the bottom in the left panel and then in the right panel scroll all the way down and set the options to what you want for that series.
Finally click the “Save Changes” button and then the audio and subtitle tracks will be updated for that series (if you have not already manually changed them for that series to what you want).
Note that this does require the tracks to be properly defined as the language they are. If the tracks show up as unknown then this will not work (or if the language is incorrectly set then that will cause an issue as well obviously).
