Released Now that Chrome version (107) released on 10/25/22 now supports HEVC when will plex make a change for the content to direct play on chrome now?

I had the same problem,I’m glad the new Chrome can use HEVC,but plex web restrict hevc on browsers,Emby can play Hevc videos directly on Chrome107.
I hope plex can remove this restriction as soon as possible
I have used the latest pms docker on unraid os and the latest chrome browser, but it still prompts that it cannot be played.
Transcoding has been turned off on the server. I need to know how to set it to play Hevc videos on the browser
You need to use the hosted web app.

even when I use your link, there is no option on newest chrome to play directly, just convert. what am I doing wrong?

No subs, audio: ac3 stereo. What is DoVi?
hardware decoder HAD to be enabled in chrome. was OFF. did not know CPU was unsupported and HEVC has to be handled through GPU.
You will learn that quickly, once you’ve tried to decode HEVC in software once. 
It requires a shed load of computing power.
