This has been an issue ever since summer 2016 when Plex made the baffling decision to make clicking play on a single video in the app queue up the entire damn series in the play queue. This becomes a serious issue as Chromecast completely IGNORES the autoplay setting in the app. Even with autoplay turned off, since the app queues up 500 episodes when trying to play a single file, Chromecast will just keep on playing videos until you disconnect it. Get pulled away from the TV and didn’t pause? Tough ■■■■■■■! You’re 8 episodes deep now. Can’t immediately reach your phone at the end of the episode? Well guess we’re gonna spoil the next episode for you, sucker! This is such a usability issue I’m really surprised that it’s not complained about more often here.
Seriously, either Chromecast needs to respect the autoplay setting or this ridiculous series queueing needs to be disabled as it’s breaking Chromecast as a reasonable player.
So I guess my feature request is to make Chromecast abide by the autoplay setting.
