I would like to be able to edit my playlists on Chromecast, instead of having to switch to a completely different device to manage my playlists.
I’m not afraid of making accidental changes to my playlist on Chromecast. If we absolutely have to have a safeguard, then I’d rather it be an option, per device, that the user is empowered to disable.
Yes, purely the Chromecast with Google TV, using the Plex Chromecast app and the Chromecast physical remote.
Sometimes I use my phone and stream to my Chromecast. I also enjoy Plex on my iPad, which would make a wonderful receiver for many apps including Plex and YouTube controlled by your phone, so that you don’t have to walk up to adjust the video like we’re in 1934. Last I checked, Apple refuses to implement that, and third party integrations have been clones of the same low quality app over and over.
ANYWAY here I’m talking specifically about the Chromecast, without any other devices.
Confirmed, I can get to more options including playlist element management via long press.
I had no idea that Chromecast had a long press gesture. The remote doesn’t even have a touch screen often associated with more complex gestures like that.
In terms of discoverability, I would prefer more visually explicit navigation.
