As i posted earlier, just put the ccwgtw in “apps only” mode. Mine then looks just like my Shield, minus the Gamestream stuff.

Is it just me do did anyone else see Plex now playing tile in the for you tab. I’ve seen it once can’t can’t get it to appear again.
Not just you, it happens frequently for me, even if nothing is actually playing in Plex
Ok, this is a totally old thread, but I see two possible ways forward.
1.
As far as I understand, the way that page works is this: Streaming service reports what content is available to Google, if a user is marked as ‘subscribed’, it will have the option to show said content, with links to any providers offering it. If Plex reported to google that it had every title which can be found on Plex Movie and Plex TV (scanners), maybe we could get this to work. It would NOT work for any custom content or libraries that use a different scanner. I am not entirely sure how google verifies entitlement, but theoretically, maybe you could filter it so any shows not in your “library” are listed as the equivalent of not being in your subscription. I hope this makes sense. I am unsure if this could be customized per user, or if there’s even a point to doing so (worth the effort).
2.
Flush out PMP app, and add some sort of links/integration with other providers. (personally… I am doubtful if this would/could ever happen. I would love to see it though. Integrating streaming services with plex would make it the ultimate platform)
Secret option 3.
Modify the launcher apk, replace the default launcher with one which can splice in plex offerings. Now, theoretically this is possible, people in the GCAM project have been modifying google apps for ages, my only concern is third party sources have some sort of hash verification or something. Also, it would likely need to be remodified every time a new launcher version is released.

Looked into the documentation posted above. I think for option one plex could customize the library by marking everything in one’s library as the rental or purchase type.
The biggest issue I see is getting google to accept the fact that plex offers every movie and tv show known to man. If there was some sort of limit, theoretically plex could only report the top content in all plex libraries. Also, all of this should be taken with a heap of salt, since this seems to be early enough in it’s infancy to require approval from google for new platforms.

One thing we should do is send the feedback to Google that we want this supported / enabled. If you hold down the voice assistant button you can say “Send Feedback” and then “Make Top picks for you work with plex” So easy!

Is it a good replace for firestick 4k? I just want to have everything with google home , but the chromecast “old version” always was getting h4 codec error.
