What?
It would be really cool if you could set a maximum MPAA rating for a Cinema Trailer played before a movie.
Why?
I want to setup Plex for my children on their own TV. I would have restrictions on the rating that they could play and as well what library they can access, but I want to ensure the trailer(s) played is with in that restriction. Overall if this restriction could only be set globally I would rather a trailer played on a non rating restricted user be “safe” instead of a random red band trailer being played instead when watching a family movie.
I’ve never had an issue with Red Band trailers playing - isn’t this already adjustable via Settings > Agents > Plex Movie? By ensuring the “Use red band (restricted audiences) trailers when available” is unchecked?
Otherwise, I could see the benefit in this feature type; though I wouldn’t use it as I already my my kids user account setup without trailers and only appropriate media.
