I know that there have been previous requests to work with CinemaVision, but it looks like their development is dead. What I am requesting is if there would be a way to mimic what CinemaVision did and implement it into Plex? Plex has the ability to add a pre roll and some trailers, but that’s very limiting when compared to CinemaVision.
I have trivia cards I would like to play before the movie starts. The ability to choose how long each trivia card is shown would be a fantastic implementation!
Before the trailers play I would like to put int my MPAA rating just like they do in the movie theaters.
I have video bumpers, audio bumpers and many other videos I’d like to play before the movie starts, just like they do in the theaters.
There are many aspects and I hope you look into the abilities of CinemaVision before you respond so you truly understand where I’m coming from.
If you are able to do what CinemaVision was able to do, it will be the best implementation Plex has ever done. Jus think about how many users use the pre rolls and trailers feature. All of those Plex Pass users would absolutely enjoy something like this and I’m willing to bet they’d pay a few dollars more to get this feature. I know I would if that’s what it takes.

A quick update to this. If developing your “own” Cinema Vision into Plex, I just found out that PreShow Experience is the successor to CinemaVision. I implore you to work with them. Please. It will be an incredible implementation.
It looks like they have just started up as of a few days ago so they’re still in the process of getting everything up and ready, but this may be a great time to work with them so they can make it an easy implementation.
There’s already an existing feature suggestion discussing an option to support CinemaVision. I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes. Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.
There are some subtle differences like the first comment I made. PreShow Experience is the successor to CinemaVision and CinemaVision’s development is non existent. Should I change my title and description to match more of PreShow Experience since linking my post to a request about a website that’s dead doesn’t seem helpful?
If it’s some kind of immediate successor, I still suggest to add that exact information to the existing thread. I suppose those 26 other users will still be interested as it’s focusing on the same/similar user experience.
If it helps we can amend the existing thread title to include a reference to the current name/technology/service.
