Clarification: video podcasts - are these Podcasts or Web Shows?

Now that we have Web Shows I just wanted to get clarity on where Plex feel that video podcasts ‘live’ in the current Plex ecosystem given the Podcasts feature is currently audio podcasts only?

Is the plan for the Podcast feature to stay audio only?

In which case, if there is a podcast I like that is available in both audio and video, I could subscribe to the audio version in the Podcasts feature, but I should request the Video version via the appropriate web forum topic (Web Show Suggestions) so it will hopefully be added to the curated Web Shows feature?

I’m assuming yes given you already one of my main examples, shows on the TWIT network, in Web Shows but I just wanted to verify.

BTW, this isn’t a loaded question and there is no judgement  I just want to know where/how I organise my different types of content that I consume via a number of different methods.

Given it has been almost a month since my post… does that mean the Plex folks themselves aren’t sure?

It looks like Plex is considering to make it possible to add Video Podcasts to the Plex podcasts! But who knows when it will come…

Webshows are curated and the content creators agree to be on there. Sorry can’t make any promises about video podcast library for manually adding your own

For general content you don’t know what to do with I would make either an “Other videos” library, or if you need them to be serialized then make a TV library but change the agent to “personal media shows” for the library so it does not try to get online metadata. ( you will need to have the S01E02 type notation still)
