Clean up the forum!

Can I suggest that the moderators clean up the forum’s pinned items, many of these are way out of date and many contain incorrect or incomplete information.

In view of the number of duplicate posts that have been created in the past couple of weeks can I suggest that we have the following sections:

Rasplex Releases - that contain details of new releases and are locked and only updated by the Devs as new releases become available (the way that PMS and PHT do it).

Guide for installing, covering creating SD card, over clocking, USB booting, recommended settings, etc, would be very useful for noobs, locked and updated by the moderators.

Guide for creating suitable media files that will play without problem on Rasplex, again locked and updated by the moderators.

These are just for starters, I’m sure the community will suggest others (dlanor, no doubt ;-)).

Any views, (no flaming, please).

Regards.

I agree.

The thread anouncing the rc0.4 should be locked to only moderators and people asking questions should create new threads.

Its getting too long and degenerated into too many sub threads and had made finding problems I have had too difficult.

- audio settings being forgotten and issues with shutdown/reboot etc not working are hidden in a thread which has people complaining about what percentage of their household electricity is being wasted by not having a power save mode which is frankly ridiculous.

K.

Thanks to the moderators it's looking better already, keep up the good work.

Regards.

Yeah i have hidden a couple old threads, but we need to reorganize a bit the stuff especially for releases where we should post existing locked pinout thread.

Need to remove the 'RasPlex Screenshots and Videos' pinned topic as these are no longer relevant and may put people off, so much has changed, RasPlex looks so much better and it also considerably faster than what is in the Video's.

Realize you're busy at the moment with rc2, just a suggestion :-)

Regards
