I’m having trouble migrating my Mac OS 14.6.1 to new hard drive. I want to reduce the size of my system folder by removing all Plex Metadata. There seems to be something like 50GB of small .jpg files. I’d like to clear them out without losing play counts, viewed lists, etc. I use both Plex and Infuse and both are clogging the system folder. I found over 30 instances of Hawaii Five-O. There are plenty of other examples. Can I remove the folders from Application Support? Or will that damage the file system? Will the “Purge Metadata” button in the AppleTV player Do the job? Help?

You can delete everything other than the db files and your xml files. You will loose any custom posters though.

Lose.
