I have seen this a few other times but the threads were locked. I have old users (past gf), they are removed from users, but I still get their account name (which they made somewhat inappropriate) in play History. I want to keep most users history data, but there are a few I would like to Purge. Can this option be added or is there a spot in the data folders on the servers where I can remove select Users Play History so they no longer appear anywhere in Plex.
I am somewhat familiar with SQL, but its all working, so I really don’t want to do that nor rebuild the server. I added to Feature Requests section. Just incase I do get bold (I know the Server will need to not be running) but is there just one table I would need to remove them from or are there several?
There is a way to remove the history of a particular user but the effort would be tedious.
- All users are maintained by account id
- You would need to determine the account id in question
- Then remove all references to it. (delete the view history)
It is a very error prone operation.
